Quartz is a great material that is low maintenance with a simple clean of soap and warm water. Quartz is scratch resistant, heat resistant, and stain resistance, that is recommended for indoor uses only. This is because quartz is man-made and is a mixture of about 90% natural quartz with 10% resin which can be damaged over time with the sun's UV.

Quartzite & Granite are great natural stone products that we carry at Ventura Stone Care. Whether it is for an inside or outside project, these natural stones are the best when it comes to heat resistance, scratch resistance, and long time durability. These are great options for resistance towards hot temperature and UV rays and great options for fireplace and grill areas. These natural stones are porous and does require maintenance.

Porcelain

Porcelain is scratch, heat and UV resistant. This is a great material if you love that glossy finish as porcelain has that beautiful shine. Porcelain has a low maintenance with no polishing or sealing needed, only soap and water. This material is good for inside and outside uses, but not any high temperature places such as grills or fireplaces.

Pre-Fabs

The full name, Pre-Fabricated, is used to reference a material that already has fabricated edges. Pre-Fabs come in a pre-fabricated square edge which allows for a faster and easier installation. Pre-Fabs are a smaller size than a slab which is great to reduce wasted material and saves money. They are available in quartz, quartzite & granite.
